DANIELA LOURDES AGÜERO – SPECIAL EFFECTS IN POST-PRODUCTION

Background

Daniela Lourdes Agüero holds a University Degree in Philosophy from the National University of Cuyo and is an advanced student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy with a focus on Aesthetics and Philosophy of Art. Her academic training is complemented by active participation in interdisciplinary projects where visual creation, art theory, and performing arts converge.

Her experience includes work in art direction, character design, creature construction, and theatrical and film makeup.

In the feature film Ofelia Horror, Daniela is responsible for the special effects in post-production (FX), as well as the design and creation of the monster that inhabits the wine cellar. Her contribution combines philosophical thinking, aesthetic sensitivity, and a handcrafted, performative approach to creature design, enhancing the film’s visual and symbolic dimension.

With her dual theoretical and artistic background, Daniela Agüero brings a unique perspective to the materiality of horror, understanding the body, the monstrous, and the sensory as vehicles of meaning within the cinematic narrative.

Her latest film was Dr. CEREBRO, directed by filmmaker Pablo Parés.
