Kohei, a deaf university student, meets Taichi, an optimistic classmate who volunteers to take notes for Kohei's lectures in exchange for food. As they grow closer, their friendship blossoms into love.
At the summer festival, Taichi meets with Kohei again after not seeing each other for a long time; the two of them finally talk about what's on their minds.
