27-year-old Géraldine, an illustrator of children's stories, ends up in Senegal with her parents, who work as pharmacists in a small village in the middle of the bush. She brings them medicine, saving them a long and expensive trip. There she meets her older sister Alice, who tormented her as a child. Tormented by resentment, Géraldine must reunite with Alice, whom she has not seen for twelve years. While her parents focus on their work and push their daughters aside, Géraldine discovers the African soul, magic, beliefs, and customs—and uses them to gradually reverse her situation as the youngest and gain the upper hand over Alice...
